.SCRUPULOUS OBSERVANCE OF NEUTRALITY.
LONDON April 1. The King of Belgium in an interview in the Geneva "Journal" denied being a hero. "You will lind them in the trenches," he said. King Albert affirmed that- before the war he and his country had scrupulously observed all the requirements of neutrality with the precision of the specifications of an engineering contract. Ho was unable to explain why his country had suffered, and ho could explain less the acts of cruelty. He had never imagined that tho Germans would ba so malevolent. He emphatically denied that Belgium had compromised her neutrality by conversations with other Powers.
