FRENCH MARKING TIME.

The correspondent of "Tho Times" in Lorraine says that, nothing has been chdnged along the line from St. Alihiel 'to the Vosges during the past couple of months. Tho French have baen marking timo, only fighting to repel tho C|erman spasmodic and aimless.attacks. The net result is that tho Germans havo completely failed in their main objective, and tho French have made little real advance, but they havo kept the German war engine working at full pressure.
