DISTRIBUTION OF THE RELIEF FUNDS.
AIR AIASSEY'S ASSURANCE,
(special to "the press.")
WELLINGTON, April 2. Doubts are being expressed in some quarters as to whether the moneys "being sent by tho New Zealand Government are actually reaching the .distressed Belgians. Mr Massey, in answer to a question this afternoon, stated that the matter was being settled by the*, British Government, in. co-operation with the New Zealand- High Commissioner, 'and there could be •no doubt that the relief funds would rench tho right quarter. The .British Government was most anxious to 6ee that tno money and supplies did not pass into the hands of the Germans, or that they should bo used in any way that would benefit tho Germans rather than the Belgians.
