LEESTON STOCK SALE.

There was a good .attendance at the

fortnightly stock sale at Lecston yesterday, and a medium entry of stock, including several lines of fat and store sheep, 123 bacon nigs, 190 store pigs, and 56 head of cattle. The demand for fat cattle wa.. fairly keen, and prices on the whole were a shade better than at the previous sale.. Thero was practically no change in fat sheep, but store sheep and store cattle were easier in eonsciuence of the winter feed outlook. Btore pigs met with a very dull .ale, and to make matters worse the entry was larger than usual. The demand for fat pigs _was not so keen, and prices were easier. The range of values was as follows:— Two and four-tooth ewes, 1-ls to 18s 3d; aged ewes, from 8s fld; bacou pigs. .•33 to 73s 6d: porkers, from 275: large stores, from 10s; weancrs from 7s 6d; fat cows. £6, £7 I.os. £5, £10 7s 6d. £8 7s 6d. £7 ss, £6 ss; springer,.. £5 2s 6d to £5 15s; store heifers, £4 12s 6d : store steers, £3 10s; store cows, £2 to £2 12s; calves, lOs to 255. Several lots of store cattle were passed.
