■Regulations appear in to-night's "Gazette" for the conduct of the oloction of members of the Council of Education, the setting up of which tvas provided for in last year's amendment to the Education Act. There aro eight classes of electors for whom rolls aro to be provided, as follows:—North Island Education Boards' roll, South Island Education Boards' roll, North Island public school male teachers' roll, South Island public school male teachers' roll, the secondary and technical male teachers' roll, tho North Island Eublic school women teachers' roll, the outli Island public school women teachers* roll, the secondary and technical women teachers' roll. Too election is fixed annually for the elective members of the (Jouncil for the socoad Monday in each May.
