MAGISTERIAL.
(Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Three first offenders for drunkenness, two male and one female, were each fined ss, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. PROHIBITION BREACHES. John Newton, on charges of drunkenness and breach of a prohibition order, was fined 10s, in default 48 hours' imprisonment on each charge. Wm. Alfred Yearbury, on similar charges, was also fined 10s, in default 48 hours' gaol. BACK TO BURNHAM. Leo Denniston, an absconder from Burnham, appeared on remand on , a charge of the theft of an overcoat. At the suggestion of the Magistrate, the charge was left in abeyance, and the accused was ordered to be returned to Burnham. CIVIL CASES. A DEFENDED CLAIM. Elizabeth Stuart Clutterbuck claimed from David Clyde (Mr Hunt) £20, tho value of a piano which plaintiff alleged she harl sold to defendant. Judgment was iriven. for defendant, with costs.
