CHRISTCHURCH. The quarterly meeting of the Christchurch Licensing Committe was held yesterday. Present—Mr H. W. Bishoo, S.M. (chairman), and Messrs T. J. Mcßride, and C. E. Salter. The' following applications for trans- | fer were granted: — ■ ' City Hotel, from Stuart Mitchell to Timothy Cotter. Carl ton Hotel, from E. J. Massey to I>aniel S pence. New Zealander Hotel, from D. J. Kelleher to Mrs Bridget O'Neill. HURUNUI. The quarterly meeting of the-Huru-nui Licensing Committee was held at Amberlev « ;i Wednesday. Present:— Messrs 'f. A. B. Bailejj S.M. (chairman) H. Fiower, F. Lewton, and O. B. Mason. Transfers were granted as follows: —A. R. Johnetone (Waiau Hotel) to A. H. Bailey. J. Moore (Great Northern. Hotel. Waikan) to J. Jackeon. Conditional licenses were granted to A. H. Bailey (Waiau Hotel) for Waiau Show, J. Jackson (Great Northern Hotel, Waikan) for Hawarden Show and G. Whitrnore (Star ami Garter Hotel, Waikari) 3 licenses for Hawarden' sale.
