KAIAPOI.
The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Braes Band was held on Tuesday evenr ing, Band-Sergeant T. Hoskin presiding over a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet for the year showed a credit of £3 9s Id. The following officers were elected*:-—Patron. Hon. D. Buddo, M.P.; president. Mr J. H. Blackwell; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Wylio, R. Dunn, J. Wright, R. Evans, T. Douds, and R. M. Wright; committee. Messrs W. Dunn. A. Young, G. Brown, J. Taylor, E. Bugg; secretary. Mr W. Lirtott; treasurer, Mr F. Richards; auditors. Messrs H. Farrer and J. A. Mealings: custodian, Mr C. Stewart; lighting committee, Messrs C. Harper and W. Adams. Votes of thanks were accorded the Borough Council and the Kaiapoi Working Men's Club for donations to the funds, also the retiring officers.
