ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
YBbTERDAY'S SESSION
The Xew Zealand Methodiet Conference continued its deliberations in the Durham street Church yesterday, with the Rev. J. Dawson (president) in the chair. CHAPLAINS 1 CIRCUITS. AVith conference in committee, the Eer. l>. J. Murray read the recommendations,of the committee on military affairs respecting the position of chaplains and supply for the circuits concerned. Tho recommendations included provision for the families of chaplains with the forces, and maintaining the vacancies of their circuit appointments until the return of the ministers goins to the front. The committee recommended that Conference should give special consideration to tho Wancamii Circuit, and appoint a probationer as supply for the Rev. 11. L. Blamires, now at the front. The Rev. P. W. Fairclough moved an amendment, that the "VVanganui Circuit be declared vacant at the end of>the year. ~
The amendment was lost and the committee's recommendation was adopted.
The committee's recommendations in connexion with the Rev. J. A. Luxford (Avondnle), a chaplain with the forces, were carried. Mrs Luxford was voted £75 as hou«o allowance. Other recommendations were referred back for ro-consideration.
