LONDON, January 7. The "Standard"' states that tlio Government's proposal to rcmovo the prohibition on tiie export or tea amazes _V-_j_em3 Lane. Critics state that Germany's normal consumption of tea is nine million pounds. 'the Germans obtained sixteen million pounds in August and September through Hotland, chiefly for the artny. 'mc British prico has already been increased by the war tax. and will be further increased if export is permitted. It ii stated that tiie Beard of Trade hopes to remove ihe embargo on exports, relying solely ou careful enquiries as to destination.
