At Burroside IS9 l'at ■cattle were penned, a fainy largo yarding, consisting chiefly of scarcely finished animals with odd pens of prime cattle, both bullocks and heifers. Tlicro was a fair demand and prices on the whole wore 5s to 10s higher than last week. Primo bullocks £13 10s to £15 7s 6d; one extra heavy show animal brought £-1 ; medium to good, £11 los to £12 10s ] light and unfinished, £9 to £10. Prime cows and heifers. £13 to £14 os, extra to £15 2s 6d ; medium, £10 to £11 .>s; light and aged. £(J to £8 7s dd. Fat Sheen —2201 were penned, consisting principally of shorn ewes of modium to heavy-weighty with <n few pens of prime wethers. The entry proved sufficient for butchers' requirements, and there was no advance on 'ast week's prices. Prime wethers in wool, 28s 6d to 31s; extra to 33s 6d; medium, 24s fid to 275: prime shorn wethers, 24s Co 2os 6d, extra heavy to 28s 9d: lightei sorts, 20=; to 22s 3d ; prime woolly owes. 28s to 31s 6'd extra to 34s 3d: prime shorn ewes, -22s Gd to 255, extra to 27s 6d: lighter, 19 S io 20s 9d. Fat Lambs—Only 1100 were penned. This *ras a small yarding for a Christmas sale, especially as there will be no sale next week. Although a number of butchers, had secured supplies nrivately, the number forward to-day proved too small for requirements, and there -was a sharp riso on recent values, prices being from 2s to '2s 6d higher than those ruling last week. Prime 20s 6d to 22s 3d, *xtra to 235: medium qualities 17s to 19k; light and unfinished 15s 9d to 16s 3d. Pigs—There wns a small yarding, but prices showed no advance on last week's rates.
