The Canterbury Park Trotting Club lias received very good nominations for its Summer Mooting, which is to »o held on January Ist and 2nd. The principal races havo drawn the majority of tho high-claes horses at present "in commission, and tho Meeting should bo marked by some very interesting racing. At a mooting of tho committee of the South Canterbury Jockey Club laet week, ill- J. S. Turnbull, tho club's architect, waited on the committee with plans for an outside stand, which ho explained m detail. He did not intend using tho timber from tho eld stand. Tho estimated cost was very considerably in excess of the amount allocated.
