ACKNOWLEDGMENTS OF HOME AUTHORITIES. (press association- telegram.) WELLINGTON, November 28. Tlie following cablegram has been received by his Excellency tbe Governor from' tho Secretary of State for the Colonies: — "1- am about to lay before Parliament further correspondence concerning the munificent gifts which havo so far been offered from the various parts of the Empire, and before doing so I desire, on behalf of his .Majesty's Government, again to express their deep gratitude to 1 all who have so generously and in such diverse ways, both publicly and privately, contributed to the requirements of his 31ajesty's Government and their Allies for purposes of alleviating the distress caused by the war and bringing it to a successful i.sue.
