GERMANS USE RAFTS.
UNSUCCESSFUL ATTACKS. PARIS, November 28. j Germans near Fumes constructed rafts behind their lines and launched them on the canal on 3londay night. The attempt completely failed, French artillery destroying tho rafts and killing, many. A thick fog prevailed on the morning the second attempt was made. Large numbers crossed, but lost their bearings, and hundreds were captured.
