These people are j becoHiing; quite old favourites with i Christchurch audiences, and their popu- ' larity never wanes. Two patriotic 1 items wore £i*veii before the curtain j fell, a grand march of- the Allies, a picturesque performance, and a sonj; ! and tableau ''Empire i> Calling." in j which a party of New Zealand soldiers • filed on to the background ar.d remain- j ed there tiif the end. The pantomime 1 was genuinely enjoyed throughout, and ' the various leading characters were all 1 warmly received. "Hunpry Dumpty" ; will be repeated to-night and to-morrow ; night, and on Wednesday night 'The ; Jam -of Cathay" T -R-i'l be staged. A \ matinee performance will also be given j on Wednesday afternoon. ;
