RICCARTON
Mr B. Bunn. the Government candidate, addressed a crowded meeting at Kirweo ou Thursday night. Mr J. N. Lawrey presiding. Mr Bunn dealt fully with Sir Joseph'Avard's speech delivered at Wellington, and showed that practically the whole of the Opposition proposals" were being carried out by the present Government. The only proposal -which the lleform Party had no prior (claim upon was 6ir Joseph Wards baby bonus scheme. The candidate also dealt with"the statements made by tho Opposition regarding tho 'Huntly disaster, mentioning that when such methods were adopted by a' party for political purposes, intelligent people would resent it. Mr Bunn's address was listened to with keen interest, applause being frequent. On tho motion of Mr »S. Robertson, seconded by Mi* XI. Finlay, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker for his very lucid address. Mr Bunn addressed a- crowded meeting at Kimberley on Wednesday iiigtit, Mr W. Syme presiding. On the motion of Mr J. Ward, seconded by Mr F. Addingtou, tho candidate'received a hearty vote of thanks. Mr' Bertram Bunn, Government candidate for Riccarton, will speak at the Riccarton Racecourse to-day at 9.30 a.m., and in the Charing Cross schoolroom at 8 p.m. On Monday he will speak at, the corner of Church street and Railway terrace, Templeton, at 7 p.m., and at the Hornby Druids' Hall at S.lo p.m. On Tuesday he will sneak ut Courtenay at 7 p.m., and at Halkett at HJo p.m. On AVednesdny he w ; ll speak at the corner of Torrens and Sutherland roads, Hillmorten, at 7 p.m., and at tho Coronation Hall, Mill road, I Spreydon, at 8.10 p.m. j Mr Geo. Witty. Opi>osition candidate j for Riccarton, will speak at West Mcli ton to-night. Charing Cross on MonI clay (6 p.m.), Kimberley on Monday 1(3.30 p.m.), Harowood road Tuesday, and Lower lticcarton Town Hall ov Wednesday.
