The death is announced of one of tho pioneers of tl.r> ."Southland district —Mrs David McNobic. Sho settled in Invereargill in ISO I. She loaves nino children to mourn her los>. The five sons aro Ales. and William (invorcargiH), Kobert (Dunediui, N'isbci. (Waihi), and Walter (H.M.S. Philomel); tho daughters are, Mrs Alex. Smith, Mrs Isaac Jenkins, and Mrs H. L. Hay. all of Invcrrargill, and Mrs George' Leo (Tempi eton).
