THE 1909 AGREEMENT.
(By C--!e.-Pre»s Asioeiation.-CopyTiehU LONDON, July 15. In the House of Commons, Mr Rowland Hunt asked Mr Churchill*why the Admiralty had failed to earn- out the IPOO agreement. Mr Churchill referred Mr Hunt to his statement on introducing the Estimates. Ho added that it was impossible to deal with important issues at question time. Mr Hunt asked whether Australia and New Zealand would no: be driven to seek protection from another white race unless the agreomc-nts were fulfilled. Mr Churchill replied that he could not admit that tho Admiralty had failed to keep to ag-cements, nor that if thero was any difference of opinion it would be likely to alter the relations existing between Britain and the Dominions.
