At tho. monthly meeting of tha Cons* cil of the Dominion Boy Scouts there wero present:—The Dominion Chief Commissioner (Colonel CoESgrovej, Dr. Fenvdclt, Sir Cecil Mcon, Colonel Ores-vel", U. S. J. Goodman, and the Rev. \V. H. Orbell (hon. secretary), A letter waa received.*' oni Mr P. It. Sarqood regarding: boya being _-ent out from. A resolution waa received from the Auckland East etib-provinco to the effect that boya -who attain the age of U years and desire to continue tho Scout training, should be allowed to do so, such training to bo accepted in lien of Cadet t-a:'ning. Tho chairman reported that ho had replied to [ th« effect that he had communicated with the Hon. J. Allen on tho *__*>tter, and h" stated ho would refer the matter to General Godley. The chairmau reported that the "We'tport troop had won' tho Otter Shield ■with a percentage of 100 per cent of awirawexß, aud 86 per cent of life-savera. Tho Commifsioncr for Southland (Dr. Crawford) wrote stating that the movement waa flourishing: in South'and. The _ecr- | tary of the Dunedin Executive reported that a, very ■successful bazaar had been held, -which had rerliaed tho Burn of over £10. The followin-r appointments -were confirmed : —M- Idhtm Jobob, .Commi*"B:oner for Timaru; Rev. F. A. Crawford, District Commander, New Plymouth: Rev. A. Julius, District Commander, Waimate:-Dr. G. X-apraik. District C-rai-ma.ndor, Thames. The following- donations were received:—Mr A. E. G. Rhcd-ra £1. Mr O. Bradley £-2, Juatioo Edwards £2 2s, "The Press" and the "Lytteiton Titn*?B" £2 each. It was decided that a contribution of 10s be asked from each Commissioner towards tho cost of Kuri and Kiwi decorations.
