SPRINGSTON.
Ay the quarterly meeting of the Springston Methodist Circuit, there was a largo attendance. The 'Rev. C. Penny presided. Owing to wet Sundays, the financial position showed a deficit of £11. A niotiqu to wioe off this deficit in xho mooting ■was "dropped, on the understanding that it be accomplished within a fortnight, which has since been done. A request was received for a donation of £'2 10s towards the cost of bringing out and training six ■ young students from Cliff College. Tins amount was raised at the meeting. A request was also received for a donation of £1 towards providing a Methodist tent afc the nest Territorial camp. This was also guaranteed by the meeting. Letters of sympathy were directed to be sent to Messrs Y. Tliglu and W. Early in their illnesses.
