DTJNEDIN, July 7. A meeting of the Council of the Dominion Bowling Association was held to-night. The question of composition bowls came up for consideration. A Buesey bowl had been cut in two and forwarded by the agente for approval. The Council had also cent to C6lohel' Collins, asking for a sample of the Escellite bowl, but it wae etated that apparently there had been some misunderstanding, one sample being a Bussey. It was resolved to ■ approve the Bussey bowl, ac sent by the makers, the sample to be retained. The matter.of .the Excellite bowl was left to the executive committee, with power to act when the sample arrived. The matter of having both feet on the mat when delivering a bowl also came up for consideration. Aft«r a prolonged discussion, it wae resolved that a player while delivering hie bowl must have a portion or whole of l>cth feet on *he mat. Mr C. Smith said the question now arose of the size of the mats. Ho suggested that the - Council ' cftould -'take ebme stens in the direction of . inviting ideas as to "what wa3 the beet mat, and the most suitable for all sorts of weather and .conditions.
