The eecretary of the Lancaster Park Board of Control wrote forward ing an application ] from the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Aaso- ] ciatjon for the use of the Park on September 12th,, for the match Canterbury versus the touring English ladies' team. As this date had already, been decided upon,for tho interproyi&cial rugby match, Otago v. Canterbury, at CRristchurch, it vu decided to defer the matter, and Messrs Maeon, Byrne, and Buchanan were appointed a sub-commit-tee to. interview the Ladies' Hockey Association, with a view to endeavouring to have the date for the Hockey match altered. The enb-commitiee was given power to act. In connexion with a request from the Malvern Sub-union that a match with the Canterbury junior representatives be played at Sheffield oa August Bth, it was resolved to arrange the fivture as proposed. , The Huranui Sub-union wrote asking that Mr Buchanan should pay his visit to the district &* agreed upon, on the occasion o: the Waiaa-Ivaikoura match a: Waiau on Jtily'llth. and suggesting that Mr Buchanan shouJd re'eree the match. Mr Buchanan 'notified hie intention of accepting the Subunion's offer, and the request -was agreed to. It was decided to reply regretting the hitch which had occurred.' ■ • .The Aahburton County Rugby Union wrote forwarding particulars of the disqualification of A. Hunt for-using moat insulting and ■filthy , language towards a player on the field until the end of the season 1919. and. stating also that he had been warned grounds un"der- the jurisdiction of the Union. The letter also stated that the police had taken Action., and ' Hunt had been fined £o, m default one month's imprisonment. Ii was decided to endorse the action of the Ashburton "Union, and to forward the case on to the N.Z.R.U. for endorsement. : The South Canterbury Rugby Union wroUi suggesting that matches between the 'Timaru Boys' Hisrh School and the Christchurch Boys' High School and the 2Corth and South Canterbury Schools' repreeentativea ■be played at Lancaster Park, on August Bth, the date <3f the representative fixture, Canterbury v. South Canterbury. It was deAided to lall in with the suggestion, and the chairman . was delegated to interview the echool authorities in the mi-.tter, as it was stated that the headmasters were opposed to the principle of revenue being made from the school' fixtures.
