(Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Four first offenders for drunkenness were each fined ss, in default twentyfour hours' imprisonment. Alexander Littlejohn, a second offender for drunkenness, -was fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. John Fleming, alias Findlay, on a charge of drunkenness, wae convicted and discharged. CIVIL CASES. Judgment by default with costs was entered for plaintiffs in the following coses:—John E. Congreve v. W. J. McAulay, 14s; H. S. Newman v. Wm. Mncdonald. 17s; Alexander Maclean v. Frederick Charles Turner, £4 13s 7d; Treloaven and Shirley v. W. G. Trask, £22 0s 4d; Strange and Co. v. Kelly Kemp, £1 13s 6d; Pidgeon and Co. v. 11. J. Randrup, £iSO 9s 6d; L. B. Hart and Co.v. H"~<; Bros., £23 Is I 3d; Cotton Bros., Ltd. v. Hogg Bros. £32 11s. WASTING TIME. The Motor Import Company (Mr Cuningham) sued F. "Woodham (Mr Johnston), for a sum of 3s lid, and defendant counter-claimed for 9s.- His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff on both claim and counter-claim, remarking that it eeemed extraordinary to him that a reputable firm should waste the time of the Court with such a petty action. ORDER DENIED. In the case in whicli Dennis Bros. (Mr Spratt) sued Joseph Thornton for £2 9s, judgment was given for plaintiff, who produced an order book, showing that defendant had givey the order, and also a receipt from the Railway Department showing that the goods had been forwarded.
