LADIES' TOURNAMENT.
The ladies' hockey six-a-side tournament, which was postponed from Wednesday, was completed on Saturday at the Polo Ground. The weather conditions wero perfect. Although the grounds were soft some excellent play took place. In the senior grade after he teams had thinned out to the final between Hinemoa A. and Waimairi G., the second grade final was played, Digby's A. beating Sydenham C. SENIORS. First Hound —Hinemoa A 3 beat IMgby's 1, Vvairaairi A 2 beat West Christchurch 1, Hinomoa B 1 beat Waimairi B 0, Waimairi C a bye. Second Round—Hinerooa A 2 beat Waimairi A 0, Waimairi C 3 boat Hinemoa B 0. Final—Hinemoa A beat Waimairi 0. JUNIORS. The final was won by Digby's A, who beat Sydenham C by a goal to nil. The Mayor presented the trophies won, and congratulated the recipients/ Miss M. Pearce responded on behalf of the Hinemoa team, who have won the trophy (a fine silver cup) three J years in succession. Miss Miller received the junior trophy also a silver cup) for Digby's team. The recipients wero heartily cheered.
