_ "__ th f- mo P*hlv meeting of the Ashburton Hospital Board* held yesterday, tho chairman (xMr Fritodlonder) reported that thero was a total credit balanco of £482 Us Bd. As public conveyances were sometimes used for conveying patients to tho Hospital, it was decided that all such convevancos should bo dieinfortod before leuvin. tho Hosptial. Mr M. Kershaw, Health Inspector, wrote thanking tho Board for its expros-ion of appreciation of his work in connoxion with the installation of the drainage scheme at tho Hospital. The Board wont into committee to consider correspondence received from, the Medical Superintendent in regard to payment of fees by wotl-to-do patients, and also in connexion with the salary paid to him as Medical Superintendent. On resuming it was reported that the matters had again been left in the hands of a committee to deal with, and to report at tho next meeting.
