DISTRESSING SCENES.
PRAYERS FOR THE MISSING. LONDON, May 28. The majority of tho Empress "of Ireland's officers and crew belonged to Liverpool, where distressing scenes were witnessed at the Canadian-Pacific Company's office, which was besieged all day. Long prayers were offered at tho Salvation Army headquarters for the safety of tho missing Salvationists.
