APPARENTLY KILLED BY SHOCK. Laurence Irving and his wile secured lifebelts. "Dearie," said Irving. ''hurry; there's no time to lose."' Irving placed a lifebelt around his wife, and then calmly donned his own. They climbed over the rail. As the huge vessel careened, Mrs Irviug became terror-stricken, and Irving carried her on to the deck. Tho first explosion occurred as tho Irvings prepared to leap iivto tho water, and apparently the shock killed them.
