CANADIAN SYMPATHY.
In the Canadian House of Commons, tho Prime Minister (Mr Borden) expressed ' his sympathy with those bereaved through the terrible disaster, explaining that it was impossible to avert even by anything the country could have done to render the river more safe. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Leader of tho Opposition, joined in expressing his sympathy towards the relatives of the dead.
