SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteoroiogut, supplied tho following weather summiry aud forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday":— Fair weather has prevailed in tho northern districts, but cloudiness has increased generally, and xain has fallen to-day in the West Coast districts. Moderate northerly winds have predominated, and the barometer has fallen everywhere, but it rose in the south this morning. Present indications aro for northerly and westerly winds, increasing strong to galo, especially southward of Xvcw Plymouth and Csstlepoint, where gtormy weather is likely to prevail during tho next few days. Rain is probable generally. Tho barometer,is unsteady, but a further decrease in pressure- is duo to follow.
