Michael Rhon, 60, labourer, residing at Epsom, and employed by the Tramway Company, while engaged in excavating work close to the rails, was struck by a car, and received fatal injuries to. his head. IN\ r ERCARGILL. April 30. At tho enquiry into the death of Thomas McDermid. a cadet, who dropped dead after the parade held by Sir lan Hamilton on Alonday, the medical evidence; was to tho effect that the aortic valve was diseased to an extreme degree, representing a particular form of heart disease, in which sudden death often occurred. Such a disease was very rare in a youth of seventeen years. A verdict in accordance with th© medical evidence was returned.
