TO THE KDITOR OF "IIIE PRESS."
Sir, —From Mrs E. W. Cunnington's letter in this morning's "Press," one would almost think that wo milkmen were delivering to the children and old people, etc-, a mild kind of poison, contaminated with all the dirt and filth of the city. If our milk is adulterated, cr not up to the required .standard, wo aro lined, also our carts and dairies arc examined from time to time, also most of us get our milk direct from the farms, and I fail to see why tho cows should give any better milk to the City Council than to us. If we must have municipal milk, all well and good; but please give credit to the milkman who is doing his best for tho public, tho majority of whom I believo aro quite satisfied with their present supply.— Yours, etc., MILKMAN. April '29th.
