AKAROA
At Wednesday's meeting of the Akaroa Borough Council, the matter of opening the new Daly's wharf was discussed, and it was decided to ask the Hon. F. M. B. Fisher, Minister of Marine, to visit the district for the purpose. The Mayor (Mr G. Armstrong) was appointed to confer with the postal and county authorities, with a view of having the Post Office foundation-stone laid by the Postmaster-General, and th> Onawe Flat road and wharf (for which a Government grant has been made), opened on the same daj.
