0 A SUPREME COURT ACTION. (rrtEss association? Trf.EfinAU.) NAPIER, March 17. An action for aiieged slander in which two Waipawa medical men, Drs. Deck and Reed, figure as plaintiff and defendant respectively, is ocing heara at the Supreme Court. Dr. Deck claims £001 damages for statements contained in letters written by Dr. Reed, in which the latter charged Dr. Deck with a breach of professional etiquette m witting'y intruding on one of Dr. Reed's patients. The cause of action arose during the smallpox scare. Dr. Deck viritinj. the patient in que.'tion in his capacity of public vaccinator. The hearing of the evidonoc, was eon-clu.i-1 this afternoon, and the Court adjourned till '-o-niorrow .o hear adc f counsel.
