A TRIP ROUND.
The toast of the health of the Mayor of Timaru and tho councillorswas drunk with musical honours, after which the party adjourned to the Council Chambers, and embarked upon a motor trip round the town and district. This drive took the party past Caroline Bay, to tho Domain, where a photograph was taken, to the Roman Catholic Church, which was inspected, and to the reservoir, the capacity ot which was the subject of favourable comment. The electric power station was also visited. Admiration for Timaru i-nd its works was expressed by the visitors almost at every turn.
Before returning to town by the special excursion train. the visitors were """gain entertained by tho Mayor (Mr Angland). and lett thoroughly convinced of the hospitality of Timaru, as well as of her municipal spirit.
