GERMANY'S WAR TAX
POWERS TO PROTEST

The German-American Commercial Union has protested against the Government's imposition of the neiw war tax upon Americans resident in Germany. The law provides that all persons •with an annual income of over £150, shaJ pay and extra tax of I per cent. Several European Powers intend jointly to protest against the tax.
