"WAR ON CARSON."
Mrs Drummond's suffragette meeting in the Ulster Hall, Belfast, was disorderly. Anger was aroused when Dorothy Evans, one of those who sat in Sir EtiwaTd Carson'e doorstep, announced that the suffragettes had decided to make war on Sir Edward Carson. The latter's name was repeatedly cheered. Snuff and evil smelling bombs greatly interfered with the speakers, who were shouted down. The proceedings closed with the majority singing the National Anthem.
