At a meeting of the National Bifid Association, Mr Fletcher, a director of Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and winner of the Kipg's eilver medal in 190S, proposed a closer association between the M other Country and the oversea Dominions by giving the latter representation on the Council. He suggested that the High Commissioners should be vice-presidents and the AgentsGenera] honorary members. Decision was postponed. * The King hae given £oO towards the expenses, of the English team to visit Australia.
Over fifty cracks have applied to make the trip, and these have been reduced to seventeen, who will shoot in the tests at "Whitsuntide; before the twelve are finally selected. Of these, only Ommundsen, Fulton, and Parnell were in the last Australian team.
The team sails on August 10th,
