TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION.

1 ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual meeting of the Chrietohurch Technical College Past and Senior Students' Association was held on Saturday night in the College Hall, when Mr AY. J. Dobbs, president, occupied the chair. There was a good attendance of members. A letter was received from the Director, Mr J. H. Howell, who is now on his way to England, wishing the Association success in the coming year, and stating that he hoped that the opening 'of the playing fields at the Girls Hostel iv Ensor's road would have a beneficial effect on the players concerned. The report of the Executive Committee stated that the membership was one hundred, an increase of thirty-one members on the previous year. The finances of tho Association were sound, as there was a credit balance which would have been larger had not the heavy expense of the new hockey clubs to be met. The statement of receipts and expenditure showed a credit balance of £2 2s 4d. The reports of the Magazine and Literary, Debating and Social Committees, Boys' Hockey Club, Girls' Hockey Club, and Tennis Club were read. Tho Chairman, in moving the adoption rtf the reports and balance-sheet, pave an address on tho work of the past year, and thanked the members for their support, saying that he looked forward to another successful year. Mr C. Jones seconded the adoption, and tho motion was carried. The Chninrnn moved—"That tho present constitution bo rescinded, and the now constitution as drawn up by the Executive Committee be substituted." Ho said that there were several new rules which would be for the ultimate benefit of the Association. The motion ■was carried. The question of an Association badge was brought up by tho treasurer. A .quotation \va.< given for a silver shield, with the school monogram raised in green and gold enamel. A number of the members had promised to take the badges already, and tho matter was finally left in the hands of the Executive Committee. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr "VV. J. Dobbs: vice-presidents, Messrs H. H. Stephens and J. Stinear;' honorary secretary. Miss E. Carter; honorary treasurer. Mr D. Smith; assistant secretary, Miss M. Anderson; honorary nurlitors. Messrs W. G. Skelton and E. "VV. Smith; Literary. Debating and SoHnl Misses M. Hureins. E. White, Messrs J. Stinear. C.
