JUDGING OF SHEEP AT PANAMA EXPOSITION.

(special to "tjik press.") FEILDING, March 1.3. Mr E. Short, the weil-k'.iowu stud stock breeder, of Feilding. when speaking at a meeting of tho A. and P. Association on the Panama JixrJositiou, and the proposals for tending -New Zealand exhibits, said the promoters of tho Exposition had made a fatal mistake in appointing a man from Kent as judge of the Romnoy fcheep. Kent was only thirty miles across, and a man from that," county knew every sheep which went from there. It would be committing suicide for any breeder from any other part at the world to tnke his sheep there. Mr Short said ho thought another judge should be appointed to act with the Kent judge. Tho committee of tho A. and P. Association decided to brine the matter before tho conference to be held shortly in Palmerston North.
