INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
* (SPECIAL TO "THE TRESS.") PALMEBSTOX -\. ( March*l4. At a meeting of tho Hospital Board, the Health Insoector reported three cases of infantile paralysis from Kiwitea, in tho Fcilding district. In tho discussion that followed, one member of the Board contended'that tho disease was worse than smallpox. The latter marked the skin, but infantile paralysis crippled a child for life. Members recognised that something should be done at once, and it was decided that Dr. Valintine bo communicated with as to what should be taken.
