The Shaw-Savill liner Rangatira sailed on Saturday evening; for Wellington, in continuation of Homeward loading. •• Departure of the "Sew Zealand Shipping Company's liner Orari from Wellington for London is expected to bo taken on Tuesday or Wednesday next. Having finished discharging local consignments, the Federal arid Shire liner Surrey left Lyttelton on Saturday morning for Dunedin. The Nairnehire is due in a few daye from Apckland for Homeward loading. From tbi* port she goes next to Wellington, where she ie due on the 23rd mst. She will leave finally for Avocmouth, via Las P»lmas, three days later. The Himitangi ia due at Lyttelton about Saturday next from the Chstham Islands. The vessel, aiter a ehort stay at this port, will proceed to Wellington to discharge a quantity of fish. The Taviuni was due from Napier laet night with sheep. She has two further trips to run from the Kawfce's Bay port to Lyttelton with aheep before resuming b«r usual running. A very large consignment of hardwood arrived at Port Chalmers on Friday morning by the Japanese cargo steamer Manß which brought 40,000 slrcpom for the Rcilway Department, and a eiruiiar number for discharge, at Auckland. The vessel was formerly known a3 the Bucrania, p.nd was built at Xewcastle-on-Tyce in 1596, her name being altered to Sheneei Jlaru when she was acquired by the Japanese a lew years ago. Her crew are al! Japanese, and
only one or two are able to epe&k a KtU« English.
