TATTERSALL'S HORSE BAZAAR.
Messrs H. Matson and Co. had an entry of 53 horses on Saturday, including all classes, from small children's ponies to heavy draughts. The (demand all ilirough was excellent, and practically the wholo entiy was cleared under the hammer, under spirited eompetir tion. Some of the principal sales were: —On account Rolleston client, five-year-old welding £35, four-year-old gelding £27 10s, seven-year-old gelding £15 10s; on account F. Rutherford, chestnut mare "Pleasure Bent," at £30; on account O. Morton, Spreydon, unbroken filly £16; on account G. Edwards, Woodend, three-year-old harness gelding, £14; on account F. Rogatsjd, Marshlands, aged harness gelding £13; on account Mrs Finch, Opa-wa, child's pony £11; on account L. Hogarty, Riccarton, pony £10; on account other venders Harness geldings at from £4 to £9 }os, ;ind down to £1 for the usual "crocks."
