MELANESIAN MISSION
At a meeting of tho English Committee of this Mission held ot the Church Houso last month, tho honorary treasurer, tho Rev. C. Hamerton ' Gonld. submitted tho financial statement for tho past year. Tho receipts *diow a slisht increase over the previous year. It was apparent that during; the forthcoming year special eHorts would havo to be put forth to increase materially the Mission s income to enable it to carry out its aspirations in tho development of the evanseliciiiiß work, especially in » considerable increase of tho staff and tho extension of contral schools. Tho Rex-. A. E. Corner having completed fifteen years' work in the Mission, the formal presentation of somo silver plate van made by the JJhhop of Roch«,tor, who eulogised Mr. Corner's work. •
