THE SHADOW.
* RUSSIAN REVOLUTIONARY'S FEAR. FOLLOWED ROUND THE WORLD. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 7. Eugene Zakovsky, a Russian artist, appearing at a music hall, has applied to the police for protection from alleged shadowing by Russian secret police. He states that he fears assassination or kidnapping. Zakovsky says he was engaged in revolutionary propaganda work in Russia. He escaped to America, where the secret police shadowed him. Two attempts were made upon his life in America. Ho then fled to Australia. Recently he recognised a Russian spy in Sydney. The man was the brother of a detective whom the revolutionaries shot dead, and Zakovsky finds that the man is dogging him daily. Zakovsky therefore appeals to the police to protect him from the fate he foresees.
