BUTCHERS' SHOPS OPENED.
i ! FARMERS OFFER THEIR SERVICES. (By Cable.—Preea Association. —Copyright-) SYDNEY, March 5. The master butchers state that every shop in the metropolitan area will be opened to-day. It is alleged that many volunteers have offered their services, including a j number of unionist shopmen. i It is also claimed that five thousand i farmers and their sons are ready to j come from the country if their services j are needed. | The men deny that any unionists are j returning to work, but a meeting is to he held this afternoon, at which the leaders will explain the position in regard t,o the offer of the masters to reengage unionists.
