THE HON. JAMES ALLEN

.The Hon. James Allen, Minister of Education and Finance, arrived from the South kit evening, and will probably be staying in Christchurch till Saturday night, when he leaves for Wellington. To-day the Minister will motor to Akaroa for the purpose of • opening an extension of the District r Hi£h School there, and tomorrow will probably inspect several 6ites proposed iocally for schools.
