SHIPPING NOTES.
On Thursday last, tlie New Zealand Shipping C-muany'H liner Hemuera left London for Lvttelton. via Plymouth, Cape Town, Hobart, and Wellington. Tho vessel is due at Wellington about April 2nd, and at Lyttelton the following week. . To-morrow tho New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Kuapehu -will return to Lyttelton 'from Timaru for tbo purpose of continuing her Homeward loading. ■ Towards the end of tho week the New Zealand Shipping-Company's liner Orari is due from the North Island in continuation of outward loading. To-day tho Federal and Shire liner Ayrshire will finish lifting the Lyttelton portion of her Homeward cargo, and will eail for Picton. „ , . This morning the Union Company s steamer Corinna is due from Timaru. She will fail this aft .noon for Onehunga, via Picton, Nelson, and Now Plymouth. The Kaiapoi Shipping Company s rleamer Wootton was due at Lvttelton last night with a Jnaa of si. c? from Kaikoura. Sbe will sail to-day for Foxton rrith _ carpo of produce, and will nubsequontly jto to Nydia Bay to load timber for this port. An arrival at Lvttelton last evening was the schooner Morning L:_ht with a cargo of timber from the Sounds. ~_._. Mr Amyes, purser of the Kowhai, left that vessel at L__t»lto-i yesterday. He will proceed to Dunedin for orders. Mr Bates-n. late third officer of the R«karoa. now holds a similar position on tho Maori.
