Needless to cay, tho Porirua trainer has his team looking very -_■*:, especially Los Angeloe, Gipsy Jtselle, and Stepney. Los Angelos looked a bit sore yesterday morning, but there were ho signs of any such trouble this morning, when he put up a splendid gallop. Ridden by C. Garment, he galloped a mile by himself in lmin 4__sec, finishing in resolute style. It was on. of the best gallops ever done here over tho d'stano© on the track, and it ia evident that the son of San Francisco is in capital Tettle for Thursday's big race. Stepney and Gipsy Bello both moved nicely yesterday morning in a half-mile flutter. Tho former was accompanied by Pavlova, and Gipsy Belle ran six furlongs. Gipsy Bello took a shade longer to run the four furlongs. Sir Solo pleased the touts yesterday morning by tho way ho finished at th. end of a milo gallop, his times for the full journey being lmin 45sec. A thick fog enveloped the course this morning, but eomo good work was done. Pavlova and Gipsy Belle ran six furlongs in lmin 17 2-sth sec, tho former being in front at the end. Emperador and Rencontre covered five furlongs in lmin 2jsec. The latter jumped off wit* _i start, and led till on. hundred yards from the post, where Emperador got up, and the Dair finished together. Then came the gallop by Los Angelospreferred to above, after which Tiresome (C. Monk) Canute (Humphries), Historietto (G. Clarke), and Square Deal (Campb.ll) were associated in a seven furlong sr_m. Hiatoriette hopped to the front arid stayed there all the w_y, Canute, Square Deal, and TireGonro finishing in thai order, tho timo recorded being lmin 31sec. Sir Solo and Marshal McDonald, who arrived on Saturday, galloped a mile and a quarter in 2____n ISsec, the last mile taking lmin 48sec. Sir Solo was in front the whole way, bat Marshal McDonald was galloping well at tho finish. Belasco and Allegation ran half a mile in 50eec, the former finishing in front. A number of others, including Stepney, Euroco, j_*_dy Forager, Brunswick, Arntiatia, and Ofahu did useful work. Bandeira wa. restricted to trotting exercise. Aruaie had Rvßv as a companion .over tho schooling hurdles, both Jumping well, though Aruake did not show to so mn.h_a_v__-.__g_ as in eomo of his previous essays, owiivj probably to the fact that be was on tho outside, and that he .waß being steadied, instead of being allowed to go at the obstacles.
