Mr D C Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary and forec?st at 5 p.m. yesterday: — Rain fell in the Northern and East Ocast districts of thc North Island on Saturday, but very warm and fair to cloudy weather has since ruled. The barometer has been abovo normal and variable winds have preTailed. , . . •. . Present indications are for increasing mist and'cloudiness, with rain following, e-pecially in tho North Island. The winds are variN«-, but moderate to strong, north-east to south.aatcrlv prevailing. The barometer is fallingin the" North and unsteady in the South.
