A night and morning camp is being held at Rcdcliffs for Christchurch and suburban members of the lst (Canterbury) Regiment, to enable them to complete their annual musketry course, which has been delayed, owing to the strike trouble, when all rifles were called in. By attending this camp the men will be "able to get through tho courso of instruction in ono or two evenings; otherwise it would necessitate three or four Saturday afternoons being taken np for the purpose, which would deprive a good many of their cricket and other games. As many as possible are put through before dusk in the evening, and the work starts again soon after daynreak. There are eight companies to go through. A dozen tents, with straw bedding, aro pitched. A field kitchen has been formed, and the men are provided with a good tea after the evening's work, and a substantial breakfast before leaving for the city to follow their regular occupations. Next Saturday will be devoted to those men who were unable to go through the course with their respective companies, and who have obtained leave, and the machine-gun section will also go into, camp on thatday. /
